I often see myself as many things, with many interests and passions that I champion.
Professionally, I am a marketer, ontological coach, entrepreneur, no-code developer, full stack developer; personally, I am a husband to my beautiful wife, parent to two wonderful kids and a son to aging parents.
Having many passions can be challenging, and for a while, I kept hearing these voices:
“People keep telling me to just pick one thing.”
“Am I wasting time by not focusing?”
“I don’t know how to tie all my passions together.”
“I want to make a difference, but I don’t want to burn out.”
“Am I good enough to succeed in all these areas?”
Well, life isn’t about fitting neatly into one box. It’s a messy blend of opposites, contradictions, and complexities. That’s where I thrive and where I can help you thrive too.
Here’s my unique blend:
I’m a bit of a techie and a creative at heart. I studied computer science, majoring in computer engineering, but found my way into digital marketing. It’s like having a foot in both worlds – using technical know-how and creative flair to solve problems and create innovative solutions.
Growing up, I lived in the best of both worlds, East and West. My early years were all about Chinese culture. I went to a Chinese cultural school, took Chinese drama classes at Hokkien Huay Kuan, learned to play the Chinese flute, and listened to Chinese radio (FM 933). Later, I switched to an English and Christian school, joined English drama competitions, and started tuning into English radio (FM 987). I even interned in Shanghai, China, for a year during university, and later moved back to work and live there. This mix has given me a deep appreciation for diversity and an uncanny ability to navigate different cultural contexts.
When it comes to making decisions, I’m both logical and intuitive. I love numbers and data – I’ve got spreadsheets for everything, from personal plans to professional projects. But I also trust my gut. I like to think of it as making calculated decisions based on all the data I’ve subconsciously processed. It’s like the best of both worlds, right?
My space reflects this blend of meticulous order and creative chaos. Everything has its place, but there’s also a kind of artistic arrangement that brings contrast and feeling. It’s organised, yet it sparks creativity.
And then there’s the rational and emotional sides of me. I plan and strategise everything – flights, my kids’ tuition, you name it. But I’m also the kind of person who tears up during movies and feels deep empathy for those around me. It helps me connect with others on a deeper level while keeping things in check.
For a period in my life, I was confused with these polarities and struggled to make sense of my true abilities and potential. However, through coaching and self-reflection process, I have come to realise that these contrasts are more than just quirks; they shape my approach to life. They’ve taught me to be flexible, adaptable, and to see challenges as opportunities.
So, yeah, it’s these polarities that make life interesting and keep me on my toes. Embracing them has given me a rich, multifaceted perspective that helps me navigate through the highs and lows with a bit more grace and a lot more fun.
Enjoying the complex flavours of arabica coffee in a nice long black and the intense flavour with slight bitterness of traditional robusta coffee (nanyang coffee).

Enjoying quiet contemplation while creating my hand-made chocolate work of art and loving the thrill of a splash during a surfing session.

Chilling with fresh air outdoors in Bali and skiing down the slopes with my kids in Madarao Japan

Finally, I’ll let you in on my favourite past time and one of my favourite food – bread! Here’s some of my bakes-in-progress, i.e. Sourdough, banh mi, focaccia, sliced white bread, chocolate chip cookies. Alright, the last one isn’t a bread, but who doesn’t love low-sugar, low-butter, chocolate chip cookies.

This is me.
